Artist Statement
‘Tête-à-tête, The Table Set’ captures the inertia of suspended time and the human need for order amidst chaos, a conversation between two people. The past and present, collected items from more traditional times, displayed in a modern way. The placement of objects in the composition evokes both literal and figurative tension, exploring both sides of the subject matter to establish equilibrium without conscious effort. The composition in ‘Tête-à-tête, The Table Set’, reflects my sculptural pursuits and the desire to continuously create, aiming to seek harmony, balance, and intimacy, which is in contrast to my public persona in the digital world.
