Artist Statement
The Hub, is part of a series of paintings commenting on my own reflections and experiences living in Melbourne’s suburbia, and the changes that I have observed in the past ten years. The series comments on nostalgia, development, transport, and community.
The Hub is important to me because it reflects on all the above-mentioned aspects coming to one place, fostering the access to communities to a diversity of cultural and social opportunities enriching the social environment.
