All about colour: Painting workshop with Noel Thomas

This workshop is suitable for anyone from beginner to experienced who wants to learn more about colour as an Element of Art, to understand its nature and behaviour and to learn how to use it successfully in their art practice.

The workshop will be a relaxed and friendly environment in which colour will be extensively explored both in theory and practice. Throughout the workshop there will be
teacher explanations and demonstrations together with practical exercises with as much one-on-one interaction with participants as possible.

As part of this process, participants’ input as to what would be particularly helpful to them in understanding and using colour in their own art practice, would be welcome.
After the workshop, notes and illustrations used during the workshop will be emailed to participants for future reference and to help consolidate their learning.

Although the theoretical component applies to working in any medium, all demonstrations will be in acrylic, which is the preferred medium for the workshop. A painting will be completed by everyone to take home.
