The Caloundra Regional Gallery is currently showing an outstanding exhibition of the 2016 Sunshine Coast Art Prize finalists. This is an acquisitive award for 2D artworks open to artists from across Australia. It has grown into a nationally recognised award that attracts both emerging and established contemporary Australian artists. This year 40 works were selected from 625 entries.

The Sunshine Coast Art Prize Education Kit[608KB] contains a selection of works and encourages themed based analysis. Suitable for ages Upper Primary to Middle Secondary.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
