Celebrating 25 years of Caloundra Regional Gallery

In 2025, Caloundra Regional Gallery celebrates it’s Silver Jubilee - 25 years as the premier art institution on the Sunshine Coast. This milestone marks two decades of artistic excellence, including 20 years of the prestigious national art prize and over 10 local art prizes. The gallery has curated and hosted more than 260 exhibitions, working with hundreds of artists from across Australia to bring art to the community.

To commemorate this achievement, we will host a celebration, showcasing a unique exhibition featuring all the previous winners of the national art prize. This will be the first time these 20 award-winning artworks have been displayed together, offering a rare opportunity to witness the evolution of contemporary art in Australia.

On Thursday evening, we’ll be hosting a celebration event in and around the Gallery at Felicity Park. Live art installations will be projected onto surrounding buildings, and performance art will take place throughout the evening including live music from mulitple artists inside and outside the Gallery. This offers something for everyone to enjoy. A bar thanks to Moffats Beach Brewing coupled with local food trucks, Yassou Greek Food and Pizza Coppola will be available on site to keep you refreshed as we celebrate together. This is a free event, but registration is required via the link below.

On Monday, July 11, we’ll be open (despite usually being closed on Mondays) for a special celebration with a birthday cake from 10am.
