Join exhibiting artist Joolie Gibbs for an in-depth discussion of her work, artistic practice and involvement in the about-place / about-face exhibition.

Curated by writer and artist, Kevin Wilson, this exhibition takes a very different viewpoint on the concept of ‘natural place’. It works from the assumption that our perspective and understanding of ‘natural place’ is imbued with our own lived experience. In a sense, when we look at a place, we inevitably look in a mirror at ourselves.

Joolie Gibbs is an Australian artist who finds inspiration in everyday people and the places that she lives and works in. Her message is environmental, with a desire to be part of the solution rather than the problem - starting with her own backyard.
