I live near this area in Mount Coolum and often visit it. The boardwalk is remnant of when someone destroyed it by lighting it on fire. It was such a random and strange event I wanted to record the landscape. I find the contrast of nature and human-made structures interesting as well as the idea of destruction and renewal.
