Sunshine Coast Art Prize

The Sunshine Coast Art Prize is one of the most dynamic and prestigious visual arts awards in Australia. The diverse range of 40 works by established and emerging artists from across the country will be showcased in an exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery from 20 August to 11 October, 2020. The exhibition will be a reflection of outstanding contemporary 2D arts practice in Australia. Entry is free in 2020*.

The Major Prize is $25,000 and is generously funded by Argon Law and Sunshine Coast Council. It is also the primary means for new works to be acquired into the Sunshine Coast Art Collection.

The Highly Commended prize is $5,000 and is generously funded by the DeDeyne Family.

The People’s Choice prize is $2,500 and is also generously funded by Caloundra Chamber of Commerce.

Coastline BMW support the Sunshine Coast Art Cars, wrapping two BMWs from finalist works and taking art to the streets. 

Thanks to Montville Country Cabins for the two week artist residency prize based in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland.

*Caloundra Regional Gallery is waiving entry fees for all applicants in 2020 and sharing freight costs for finalists works with IAS Fine Art Logistics. This means no cost to enter and no cost for transportation of the artworks for the 40 finalists.
