Sunshine Coast Art Prize

The art prize is open to Australian residents working within any 2D medium and new media

The national acquisitive Sunshine Coast Art Prize is a dynamic visual arts award reflecting outstanding contemporary 2D and new media arts practice in Australia. Now in its eighteenth year, the exhibition presents the remarkable finalist works by artists from across the country.

The artwork awarded with the Major Prize will be acquired into the Sunshine Coast Art Collection. A People’s Choice prize is also decided by way of public vote by exhibition visitors.

The Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2023 is proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council, Argon Law Sunshine Coast, De Deyne family, Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, Coastline BMW, Montville Country Cabins, International Art Services and Horizon Festival.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
