Artist Statement
The DC Style Fylez is an online video fashion blog hosted by DC, a fashionista who solves people’s fashion dilemmas. DC Style Fylez Solves 100 Fashion Dilemmas is a video catalogue of selected fashion dilemmas solved by DC. Dilemmas are posed to DC by the public, which DC solves in unexpected ways through creating outfits and fashion hacks.
As a first step, The DC Style Fylez encourages viewers to identify their fashion dilemmas. The artist asks how the current systems of fashion may not be serving us, or how they could improve. These videos promote an alternative attitude to fashion; promoting sustainability, recycling and do-it-yourself.
