Artist Statement

The subjects in my recent paintings have some common features and are dissimilar in other ways but all are connected by the road. A public space that borders all types of private space, it is stage for various interactions and this is something that interests me in this work. 

I am drawn to the familiar and unfamiliar, the ambiguous and the humorous and the places where these interactions occur.
