The Caloundra Regional Gallery features local and regional artisans with hand crafted items perfect for gifts or personal indulgences. Ceramic works, books, textiles and wearable works of art will feature in a changing landscape in the gallery foyer store.

Pop Up Feature Artisans

Noosa-based jeweller, Gerhard Herbst has been crafting his unique style of hand forged jewellery for the international market for over 35 years. 

Popularly known for his fluid manipulation of metal, Gerhard’s innovative jewellery often stretches boundaries in both function and design.

His pieces have been featured in the gallery shops at the Los Angeles Museum of Art, The Smithsonian Institute, and been sold through  prestigious retailers such as Saks fifth Avenue and Nordstroms.

Gerhard has exhibited extensively at both public and private galleries thought Australia and North America. 

Beginning his jewellery making career at age fifteen, Gerhard went on to study both sculpture and jewellery design at San Diego State University. 

The winner of Local Artists – Local Content Art Prize 2018 3D award, Gerhard joins us as Feature Pop Up Artisan in conjunction with the Local Artists – Local Content Prize 2020.
