This nerikomi porcelain piece is made by using pieces of coloured clay joined together to form a geological image of the repairs that have been undertaken to stabilise and re-join the gaps created by tropical cyclones on Bribie Island.

Cyclone Seth in 2022 caused the first breakthrough and over the next four years this became three more breakthroughs to the island, endangering the foreshores at Golden Beach.

Many thanks to the Government and local lobby groups for ensuring this work was undertaken so quickly and efficiently. It has been well documented on both Facebook and Instagram by "Bluey's Photography" whose amazing ongoing drone photography have provided the inspiration for this piece.
