Study for EPLC deconstructed is the deconstruction of a single cube work, revealed in two separate potentially interlocking pieces. My three-dimensional paintings may appear upon first impressions as a rendering of modernist abstraction, presented to us in delicious candy-coloured hues. However, upon further inspection they reveal to the viewer a series of illusory puzzles. The cube has been cut open, dissected, revealing a cross section of form.

As active objects they invite the ambulatory viewer to engage in a playful discovery where multiple compositions shift in an out of view, collapsing perspective and perception. Our awareness and experience of space is heightened as we move around the modular forms.
