Cotton Tree Sunset is a spraycan painting on half a table tennis table. It’s part of a series of landscapes and still life paintings I made in my time in Cotton Tree, Sunshine Coast.

The iconic surf tower was caught in a vibrant sunset as I was walking back along the beach at sunset. My subsequent rendering of that moment has been inspired by expressionism and comic book art and just a general thing to express the internal chaos I felt while painting it. In some way it’s a therapeutic work but also I've aimed to connect and communicate something to the viewer.
