Scenes rich in colour and light are at the heart of my work, with the surrounding environment an endless source of inspiration. Bringing together elements from multiple sources, I enjoy creating landscape images that lie somewhere between true representation and the abstract.

After attaching the yarn to a hardwood rod, I apply acid dyes using a combination of painting and immersion techniques, layering colour into the fibres before it’s rinsed out and dried. The wooden beads are also dyed and can be slid up and down to subtly change the form of the trees.

The yarn acts as both blank canvas and surface, adding depth, texture, and movement, with each thread creating line and shadow while gently softening and distorting the painted image.

Through colour and texture, I aim to create pieces that feel meaningful, evoking memory while bringing a calm, reflective presence to a space.
