Unlike many artists who plan meticulously then produce, my work, flows and changes as I’m inspired by the textiles that I find in my many boxes of recycled fabrics.

I think of this medium as ‘painting with fabric’, a very forgiving technique that provides constant surprises. Only when you trim the loops do you see what you’ve produced as the textiles open and the colours align.

As the viewer, feel free to enjoy Silent Sentinels from any angle or direction that moves you, as I do!
